The meeting started and the countries were getting absolutely nothing done. It was the holidays and everyone was just relaxing, sitting down and talking about plans for the holidays. Even Germany was letting loose.
In one area of the room, four of the allied boys were talking over their own plans until one of the female nations came over. “Hey, guys, I think something is wrong with England.” She said and pointed to him. His head was on the table with his arms around it.
“I'm sure he's fine.” America stated.
“He probably just got drunk again.” France added.
“I don't know. He really does seem upset. Maybe you should go talk to him.”
“Guys don't talk to guys about guy problems. We just punch each other in the shoulder. That's like...6 months worth of therapy right there.”
“Yea. To a girl.”
She leered at America. He groaned. “Fine. I'll go do it.”
He got up and walked over to England, and punched his shoulder. England picked his head up and glared at him. “What the bloody hell was that for?!”
“Just wanted to see what was up with you.” He sat down next to him. “So, what's up?”
England sighed. “It...it's (Name).” He said, looking down. America frowned and patted his back. “What's up with (Name)?”
“I don't even know. She's just been so...I don't know...cranky and moody and secretive. I think she may be leaving me.”
America laughed. “What? No! You're crazy. You and (Name) are, like, perfect for each other. You're probably just over reacting.”
England grumbled in response. America sighed. “Look, if it really means that much to you, then why don't I help you out?”
“And just how could you help?” England scoffed.
“Shush. Just let the love guru work his magic.” America picked him up and tossed him over his shoulder.
You sat in the bed you and England shared, looking over the papers again and again, as you had the past two weeks when you were alone. No doubt about it, you were pregnant. You pulled your knees to your chest and started to cry. Not because you were ashamed of it, no, but because you were afraid of how England would react to it once he found out. You hadn't yet brought yourself to tell him. Whenever you tried, you got nervous and tense and just went with doing whatever else your emotions told you to...which usually didn't turn out well.
The bedroom door opened and America walked in with England over his shoulder. You stared at them, eyes wide. “Wh-what are you two doing here? Isn't there a world meeting going on?”
“Yea, but who cares?” America stated and dropped England on the bed. “There's something more important that needs to be done.” He looked at the paper in your hands and took it. “NO! Give that back!” You shouted and tried to reach for it.
“Alfred, hand it over.” England said.
Your face paled and you started to panic as America looked over it. His eyes went wide and he looked at you. “Seriously?”
You shrunk down and nodded with a whimper.
“What? What is it?” England questioned. America looked at him then back at you. “Tell him.” He ordered and left the room, closing the door behind him. England looked at you worriedly. “(N-name)...What's going on?”
You were silent. He took your hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. You looked into his eyes and felt tears well up in yours. He hugged you and rubbed your back. It was now or never, you thought. You took a a deep breath and pulled back to look at him again. “A-Arthur...I'm...I'm...”
“I...I...” You started to feel unnerved again. “Well, I...we're...um...”
“DUDE, YOU'RE GONNA BE A DAD!!!” America shouted through the door.
“Thank you, Alfred.” England stated sarcastically.
England rolled his eyes then looked at you. “Is that true?” He questioned calmly. You looked away to avoid eye contact, but he made you look at him. “Is it?”
He didn't say anything for a moment and then he laughed. “So that explains why you've been acting the way you have. Silly me, I actually thought you were going to leave me.”
“What?! No! I was just...nervous...about telling you.”
“I can tell.” He kissed your forehead then your lips. “But please don't ever scare me like that again.”
“I won't.” You smiled and hugged him.
“The love guru's magic has worked once again!”
“GO HOME, AMERICA!!!”
You placed your hand on your stomach, rounding with maternity. You smiled as a small kick came near it. England entered with the food you'd been craving, something for himself and two drinks. “Lunch for three.” He smiled as he walked to the bed and sat down next to you. You giggled and kissed his cheek. “Thank you.” You said, taking your food.
“America and the others are coming over to help me finish the nursery.” England said and looked at your stomach. “It should be ready before you get here, little one.”
You smiled at him.
Soon enough, America, China, Russia and France had all arrived to help, but got a bit...distracted.
“I bet it's going to be a cute, little girl.” France stated proudly. “And she's going to look just like you, (Name). Just as cute.”
“No way. It's going to be a boy. No doubt.” America said. “And HE will look like England...except without those goofy eyebrows. I hope.”
England hit him in the head with a rolled-up news paper.
“Ow! What'd I do?”
“Would you four come on? I want to get as much of the nursery done before the baby arrives.”
“And how soon do you think that's going to be?” America asked. And what perfect timing, too. “Uh...guys...?”
“Doesn't matter.” England continued, not hearing you. “Now, can we please hurry up?”
“Don't be such a stick in the mud, England. Just let us...”
Everyone looked at you.
“Oh? I have your attention now? Great. Um, if you all don't mind...could you just stop your fighting for a second and GET ME TO A HOSPITAL NOW, PLEASE?!”
“Time? Yes. Yes it is. Now, please, get me to a...OW...hospital...”
“Right!” England said, trying and failing to hide how panicked he was. “America, get my keys.”
“Right.” America ran off while England helped you to your feet. He brought you to his car once America gave him the keys.
Once at the hospital, you were immediately checked in and you were brought to a room with England, while the others waited in the waiting room. Hours later, they all were asleep, with a blanket keeping them warm.
England exited the room with a heavy breath. “Guys...hm?” He laughed at the sight of them. He walked to America and tapped his shoulder. “Alfred, get up.”
He groaned. “Mm....five more minutes.”
“I don't think the baby wants to wait five more minutes to see you all.”
America's head shot up. “The baby? It's here? The baby's here!”
This, of course, woke the others up and they all rushed in to see you holding the little thing a warm, fuzzy blanket. You smiled at them. “Hey, everyone.” You said, smiling weakly. England returned to his spot next to you. You held the baby so it's tiny little, face, still red from crying earlier, could be seen. It looked at them all curiously.
“Wow, so cute, aru.” China smiled.
“What's the little dear's name?” France asked. You and England looked at each other then back to them. “Well, I chose...”
