You walked with your niece, hand in hand, to the large office complex. She wasn't really your niece, she as your boss', but you had grown so attached to her that you called her your niece. The poor girl was frightened for her dear life, being as shy as she was, but her school was having a little competition to see who could sell the most treats and make the most money and you were going to help her win.
“Um...why are we going to this place again, Miss (Name)?” She asked, shaking in her little dress and boots. “Because, there are a lot of people here I know – really nice people, too, trust me – and they'll happily buy the cookies from you.” You replied as you entered the building. You headed to the elevator and rode to the top floor. “Th-there aren't t-too many people, um, are there?” Her voice started to squeak. “Well...I can't really say for sure, it would depend if everyone is there or not, but, if we're lucky the ONE person that I REALLY want you to meet will be there. He usually likes to be early, anyway.”
You pushed open the double doors and, to your surprise. “Guess we're a bit late.” You held her hand tight to keep her from running away, but you could feel her trying to. You pulled her to your seat, quietly and made her sit on your lap. “Please, try to relax.” You said softly. “We just have to wait until it's over. That's all.”
-
With the meeting ending, several nations started to leave. You rushed out, dragging her along; trying to catch the one you were waiting for. “Alfred~!”
The blond-haired, blue-eyes nation turned to you, giving the Brit he was talking to – and most likely annoying – the chance to escape. He smiled. “Hey, (Name), what's up?!” He ran to meet you half way then looked at the little girl next to you. “Hey, you. What's your name?”
Terrified, she hid behind you, holding onto your legs.
“What's up with that?” America asked, returning his gaze to you. You did your best not to blush when he did. “Oh, she's really shy.” You replied. “Just like you are sometimes; always blushing and stuttering.” He poked your cheek, laughing. You blushed. “Please don't do that.”
Truth be told, you only did that around him. Yea, you had a crush on him, but you couldn't figure out why. He was so loud, obnoxious, childish and funny and a real sweetheart when he wanted to be, he was always so chivalrous and always knew just what to do to make you smile and by all that you stood for he was smocking hot...oh right...
“Why should I? Your cheeks are so pokeable.” America laughed, bringing you back to reality. “Hey! They are not! And I don't even think that that's a real word.”
“I'm not a dictionary; what do I care? And they are so.”
“Just quit it.”
“Fine.” America groaned. He stopped. “So, what's with the girl?” He asked.
“Oh, she's my boss' niece and I'm helping her out. She's selling cookie and...”
“COOKIES?!?!? I can get some?!” His eyes sparkled and a smiled hopefully, hands held together. “PLEASE? PLEASE? PLEASE? PLEASE? PLEASE? PLEASE? PLEASE? PLEASE?” He kept going on until you finally stopped him. “Alfred. Stop. That's the reason I brought her here, to see if you'd buy some.”
“I totally will!” America cheered. “She just needs to ask me.
“That's great!” You looked at niece and very softly spoke. “See, he said he'll buy some if you ask.” The poor girl's face turned paler than a full moon. She grabbed bit her lower lip and tears filled her eyes. She let out a loud cry and ran off faster than Italy ever could and disappeared into the crowd of countries.
“No! Wait! Come back!” You screamed. Oh man, your boss was going kill you if you didn't find her or if she got hurt! You panicked, not knowing where to look first. You blindly ran through the crowd, trying to follow the same path she went through and hoping to spot her doing so before anything you would severely regret happened.
“I'm so sorry, (Name)!” America apologized, but it was quickly fading as you paid him no mind.

The crowd eventually vanished and, by then, you had already checked every person and every room in the building. Nothing. You pressed your back against the nearest wall and slid down as far as you could. “I am so screwed.” You groaned.
“I wouldn't say tha-at~.” You looked up and saw America holding her, of course she was shaking and sniffling with her cheeks red, but he was smiling. You quickly rose to your feet. “You found her!”
“Yup!” He nodded, proudly. “Oh, thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much.” You ran to him and hugged him then took her from his arms. “Please, don't you ever do that again.” You begged. She nodded. “I'm sorry. I promise I won't. Ever. There were so many big, scary, people with funny accents.” You patted her back. “There. There.” You said. You then looked at America. “I checked everywhere for her. Where did you find her?”
“She was hiding in the meeting hall under the table. You probably didn't see her because once I found her, I managed to got her to come out and we searched for you everywhere. Guess we missed each other or something.”
“Well, thanks anyway. I should be getting her home, now, before her parents get worried.” You started walking away, but America, stopped you. “Wait! (Name)! What about the cookies?!”
~Le Awesome Mint Bunny Time Skip~
“We'll have the cookies in two weeks.” You said as you exited America's car. He had decided to drive you home, after picking up some “I'm sorry for scaring you and for almost making you almost get killed by your boss, oh and thanks for the cookies” ice cream. “It's not a problem. I have enough time to make my next flight, since I sort of missed the first one helping you look, but it's all good.” You smiled. “Thanks, still.” You waited for your niece to exit the car before pecking America quickly on the cheek, but America had turned his head at just the right moment to make sure you had a real kiss on “accident”.
Both of you were silent for what felt like forever before you finally spoke again. “Yea...so...um...bye and uh thanks again.” You said quickly as you rushed out of the car and ran to your house, a light red blush covering your...whole, entire face, actually.
America didn't drive off for a while after that. He touched his hand to his cheek, eyes wide and staring forward. “Did that really just happen?” He asked himself. A wide grin broke out and he felt like he was going to explode. “YYYYYYEEEEESSSS!!! She didn't slap me for that!!! She must so totally dig me!!! This is so awesome!!!” He grabbed the cars' steering wheel and sped off.

“Hey, (Name)?” Your niece asked you once you were both finally in your house. You looked at her. “Yes, what is it?”
“Is that guy your boyfriend?”
You blushed more. “Wh-what? No. No. What would make you think that?” You stuttered. You turned from her to avoid eye contact. “Oh, come on, I'm seven, I'm not stupid.”
You looked back at her. You weren't expecting that. “Well...” You gasped. She just grinned. “If he's not your boyfriend then you must just like him, right? Don't say know. It's in your blush.”
“Well...I...um...you see, it's like...”
She giggled and jumped. “I knew it!”
“Yea well...I don't need to be taking this from a kid! Time for bed!” You ushered her to a guest bedroom. “Ok, bug you in the morning. Good night!” She skipped the rest of the way and you sighed. “Well, this has been quite a day.”
~Le Another Awesome Mint Bunny Time Skip: Two Weeks Later~
You struggled to hold about twenty cookie boxes that you were to bring to America.  “Him and his appetite.” You almost fell over several times walking up his driveway to his door. “Alfred~!!!” You called out, unwilling to put the boxes down just to ring the bell or knock on the door and then have to pick them back up again and bring them all the way in. It was getting too dark for you to see, anyway.
“One minute~!” You heard him call from inside. You heard shuffling noises and then the door opened. America stood in the doorway, smiling. “Hey, (Name).” He greeted you with his usual smile. “Hey, Al.” You smiled nervously. Your arms were giving quickly. “I brought your cookies. Did you really have to order so many?”
He laughed. “Here, let me take those.” He took all of the boxes from you with ease and brought them into the house. You followed him in.
He put the cookies in the kitchen then turned to you. “Thanks for bringing them here, (Name). Sorry I had to get so much. They're actually for this party I'm gonna have with my states. You really have NO idea how much those guys can eat. Seriously.”
You rolled your eyes. “Yea, I wonder where they could have possibly gotten that habit from.”
“I know right?”
You shook your head at him.
“Yea, well, whatever.” He grabbed one of the boxes. “Come on, let's eat one of these.”

Three boxes later and America was still unsatisfied. How could he eat so much and still be so lean and good looking? Part of you wished you could be like that. Out of nowhere, you remembered the kiss and started blushing. America looked at you. “Hey, you ok?”
“Oh, yea. I'm fine. Just...fine.” You looked down. “If you have to pause between 'just' and 'fine' like that, you're not fine. Tell me what's wrong.”
Of all the times he CHOSE to actually pay attention to stuff like that. “Fine.” You sighed. “I was just...thinking.”
“What about?” He turned his body to face you. “Tell me.”
“Um...well...” You didn't want to say it. “About...the kiss.”
He paled a little bit. “Oh, yea. That. Look, I just wanted to say I'm sorry. Not really. It was a total accident. I'm such a LIAR.”
“Yes, I know and it was my fault. I'm so sorry.”
“Not a problem. It's nothing really. Wow, I can't believe you bought that.”
“Yea...wait what?” You looked at him confused and suspicious.
“Huh?”
“Alfred, what did you just say?”
“Noooooothiiiing~”
“Did you...kiss me on purpose?.”
“What? Oh, (Name), whatever could make you think that?” He laughed and put his arm around your waist. “Look, I didn't do it on purpose. I wouldn't lie to you. Don't you trust me?” He smiled at you innocently. You smiled back. “Oh, Alfred...no.”
“Fine, whatever. Yea, I did, but it's not MY fault I couldn't help it. You were trying to kiss me first and only an idiot wouldn't accept a kiss from a hot girl.”
“I-I only meant to kiss you on the cheek as thanks and I...did you say I was hot?”
“Pft, duh! Totally. I mean, why wouldn't I? You're totally gorgeous. I can't be the first person to have told you that, right?”
You were blushing furiously by now. “Well...” You didn't know what to say, but no. “Dude, no way! Well, that's going to change from now on.” He held you close to him and patted your head. “From now on, I'm going to say it to you every day. A hero's girl's gotta feel special, you know?”
“I...I...guess...” You smiled at him then realized. “Wait, I never agreed to be your girl.”
He looked at you with a very sarcastic 'are you serious' face. You sighed in defeat and rested your head on his chest. “You are so lucky you’re hot.”
“Yea.”
